Autoimmunity is one of the leading health conditions in today's society. It is characterized by chronic, systemic inflammation, which leads to the body attacking itself. Nutrition and lifestyle factors play a major role in inflammation. I work with clients to identify underlying root causes, remove inflammatory triggers, and support the body's natural inflammatory response with dietary and lifestyle modifications.
Gut health is almost always at the center of most chronic health conditions, and it is no wonder when you look at the Standard American Diet (SAD). The SAD diet is full of highly processed foods, refined flours and sugars, and unhealthy additives. These things lead to increased inflammation and disruptions in the microbiome. I teach clients how to move away from the SAD diet and toward an eating pattern that supports gut healing.
Supporting immune health has never been more important. And a strong immune system starts with the nutrients we put in our body. Moving away from inflammatory foods and incorporating antioxidant rich, whole foods is one key to immune health and overall wellness. I work with clients to identify potential nutrient deficiencies wellness goals and build a nutrition and lifestyle plan that supports them in reaching those goals.
